Far Flung Places: The Photography of Barbara Sparks on Saturday June 9th from 4 to 6pm at photo-eye Bookstore, 370 Garcia Street, Santa Fe, NM. Featuring photographs made in wide-ranging places like Cappadocia, Turkey, the Kali Gandaki River of Nepal, Mayan Villages of Guatemala, hill towns of Italy, and here in New Mexico, Sparks' fine-tuned eye focuses on the landscape, light and man.
Barbara Sparks's passion for photography began in 1959, during college, when she took an art tour of Europe. On that trip, her fascination deepened when a man-whom she would later marry-gave her Edward Steichen's book
