The Iceberg By Giorgio Di Noto.
Edition Patrick Frey, 2017.

The Iceberg
Photographs by Giorgio Di Noto

This highly addictive book unveils the images used by drug dealers in the submerged part of the Internet — The darknet — to promote their products. They will sometimes use candid stock images drawn from the public domain, which we discover as we open the book. Sometimes, they will also shoot more explicit images, which are printed in invisible ink and can only be viewed under ultraviolet light.

The Iceberg takes the viewer into an unusual visual experience to discover disturbing images drawn from the deep web.

We Oui! By Fumiko Imano. Little Big Man, 2017.

We Oui!
Photographs by Fumiko Imano

After several years spent in London for her studies, Imano moved back to her native country of Japan. In order to confront her loneliness, she started creating simple snapshot collages where she appears twice in the same image. The book is fictional, and we know it from the start, yet one can’t avoid feeling the endearing connection between her and herself.
