Bananas in Bowl with Painting on Door -- John Chervinksy

For those of you on the East Coast, an exhibition of John Chervinsky's work from his Studio Physics series opens at the Ellen Miller Gallery on September 4th, running through October 9th with an artist reception on September 15th. For those of you closer to Santa Fe, images from Chervinsky's Studio Physics series will be in display in photo-eye Gallery through September 15th.

Izzy, Boston 2011 -- Rania Matar

Also in Boston, an exhibition of images from Rania Matar's A Girl and Her Room series will be on display at The Photographic Resource Center at Boston University on September 6th, running through November 3rd. Titled Girls In Between: Portraits of Identity, Matar will also be signing copies of the A Girl and Her Room book from Umbrage Editions. Later in the month, the series will be exhibited at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, with an artist talk, opening reception and book signing on September 14th.

Clovers at Dusk -- Ernie Button

Finally, congratulations to Ernie Button whose image Clovers at Dusk from his Cerealism series, received Honorable Mention in the Center Forward 2012 exhibit at The Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins. The exhibition opens on September 7th and runs through October 20th. Button's work was also recently exhibited in Toyed With, a juried show at Open Shutter Gallery in Durango featuring work make with toy cameras. An image by Photographer's Showcase artist Thomas Alleman was selected as Best in Show. Another of Button's images was also recently awarded Honorable Mention in the Altered Image portion of the Prix de la Photographie, Paris.
