"In May of 2012 I flew back to Minneapolis to visit my family. A few days before Paul Kwiatkowski sent me a PDF copy of his book And Everyday Was Overcast. I held off reading it until my flight because I generally don't enjoy flying and knew that I'd probably end up immersed in the book.
It turns out I was more than immersed. The book re-arranged my mental furniture to such a degree that it was one of the most thrilling experiences I've had viewing a piece of art. I knew when I finished it that Paul was a singular voice, and someone that was going to have an impact. Since that first experience, the book has been published, and received a good amount of acclaim and attention. But more importantly for me, it launched a new a collaboration with Paul. It has been a wild ride already. And Everyday Was Overcast is one of those few pieces of art that I'll never forget." —Bryan Formhals
