Book of the Week: A Pick by Jonathan Blaustein

Book of the Week Book of the Week: A Pick by Jonathan Blaustein Artist, writer and educator Jonathan Blaustein selects The Line self-published by Palíndromo Mészáros as photo-eye Book of the Week.

The Line. By Palíndromo Mészáros.
Self-Published, 2013.
This week's Book of the Week pick comes from artist, writer and educator Jonathan Blaustein who has selected The Line self-published by Palíndromo Mészáros.

"I have a weekly book review column, so I can honestly say I look at more photobooks than most people. It's sometimes interesting to see what stays with me, when I think back among countless choices. The Line sticks in my mind because it marries the zany, conceptual art aesthetic of Christo and Jeanne-Claude with a heavy-hearted environmental realism. The combustible toxicity and beauty of the two traditions make a memorable mix."—Jonathan Blaustein
