On View at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum This Friday, November 2nd, photo-eye Gallery is pleased that represented artist Jo Whaley's latest exhibition, Echoes, opens at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM.

This Friday, November 2nd, photo-eye Gallery is pleased that represented artist Jo Whaley's latest exhibition, Echoes, opens at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM. Part of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum's Contemporary Voices series, Echoes features a selection of Whaley's photographs sequenced among O'Keeffe's paintings. Whaley's images highlight human relationships with nature. Echoes pairs Whaley's carefully constructed and composed photos with O'Keeffe's meticulous creations, drawing sharp attention to creative process.

We are thrilled for Whaley to be exhibiting works in the company of O'Keeffe and in such a venerable institution. Coinciding with the exhibition, photo-eye will be hanging four additional works by Whaley from her Botanical Studies series in our Gallery tower. See the images below.

Jo Whaley: Echoes runs November 2, 2018 to February 24, 2019 at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, and there is an Opening Reception Friday, November 2nd from 5–7 pm. A discussion about the exhibition with Whaley and curators Carolyn Kastner and Ariel Plotek "exploring Jo Whaley’s photographic process, and the ways in which she shares with Georgia O’Keeffe careful observation of the natural world along with the use of color and form" will take place at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, NM on Tuesday, November 13th from 6–7pm. Tickets are free for members and $25.00 for non-members.
